Thomas (Tommy) Mitchel
Senior Research Scientist, Adobe
I received my PhD from Johns Hopkins University in 2022 advised by Misha Kazhdan. Prior to joining Adobe, I was a research scientist at PlayStation and before that I was a postdoctoral fellow at Google Research hosted by Ameesh Makadia.

My work focuses on developing AI with innate spatial reasoning capabilities in the context of perception, robotics, and generative modeling. Specifically, I work towards models that learn these skills from images, video, and by interaction with physical and digital environments — ideally through full self-supervision.
